Day 1: Arrival McleodGanj

After breakfast you will take a flight to Dharamsala, in the north Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel in McLeod Ganj. This fascinating and multicultural hill station is universally known as the home of the 14th Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Government in Exile.
In the afternoon you will visit the temple of His Holiness, the Namgyal Monastery, where you can turn the giant prayer wheels and observe the monks going about their daily activities. Rest of the day free, sock yourself into the Tibetan Buddhist atmosphere.

Day 2 – Dharamsala

After breakfast visit to Tibetan Parliament of exile, Tibetan library and archives followed by Men Tsee khang a Tibetan Medicical and Astro – Science Institute.
After lunch you will visit the Norbulingka Institute, which works to preserve traditional Tibetan culture and art forms. The visit will include a guided tour of the workshops, where you can meet the artisans as they work. Before heading back to McLeod Ganj you will be able to visit the Gyoto Monastery, a secluded and peaceful haven specialising in the study of Tantric meditation, Tantric ritual arts and Buddhist philosophy. Spend the evening at the McleodGanj Market known for the handicrafts woolens and Buddhist items.

Day 3 – DGL- Tashi Jong – Sherabling

After breakfast check out your Hotel and drive to visit DGL nunnery. A beautiful nunnery runs by Jetsuma Tenzin Palmo. The Nunnery was named ‘Dongyu Gatsal Ling’ by the Spiritual Director His Eminence the 9th Khamtrul Rinpoche Shedrup Nyima. It means “Garden of the Authentic Lineage” and was chosen because “Dongyu Nyima” was the name of the previous Khamtrul Rinpoche, who was Tenzin Palmo’s personal Guru.
After DGL we will visit to Tashi Jong Monastery, Nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas, Khamtrul Rinpoche established the community of Tashi Jong (Auspicious Valley) for the monks, lamas, tokdens and lay people who followed him into exile from Kham, Eastern Tibet. Renowned Drukpa Kagyü monastery of Khampagar Monastery.
Afternoon Visit to beautiful Palpung Monastery also known as Sherabling, nested in the pine forest and known for its beautifu series of white stupas. Palpung Monastery is the name of the congregation of monasteries and centers of the Tai Situpa lineage of the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism.

Day 4 – Bir- Mandi

After early breakfast visit to Bir another Tibetan settlement Tibetan Colony was established in the early 1960s by Chokling Rinpoche following the exile of the Dalai Lama and other refugees from Tibet.
The Tibetan Colony houses several Tibetan monasteries (representing the Nyingma, Kagyu, and Sakya traditions), a Tibetan handicraft center and the Deer Park Institute. After Lunch at Bir leave for Mandi.

Day 5 – Rewalsar ( Tso Pema)

Morning Visit to Rewalsar (Tso Pema) perhaps the most sacred spot for Buddhists in Himachal Pradesh, Rewalsar is 20 km south west of Mandi. According to legend, Guru Padmasambhava departed for Tibet from this beautiful spot, to spread the ’dharma’. A pagoda-style monastery stands along the edge of the lake.
We will have a Kora walk around the sacred lake and visit to Guru Padamasambhava statue and mediation cave. Aftrer lunch you will have some free time to explore the sacred town. Late afternoon return to Mnadi Hotel. Overnight Mandi

Day 6 – Departure

After Breakfast drive to Chandigarh and drop off at Chandigarh Airport for your onward Journey. Arrangement ends.
